Aims and scope
The Journal of Innovations and Sustainability was founded in 2015. The founder of the periodical is Innovations and Sustainability Academy (Plovdiv, Republic of Bulgaria). During 2019–2020, the publication was discontinued. In order to restore the functioning of the journal, its development and promotion in 2021, a partner-publisher – the Institute of Eastern European Research and Consulting – was involved. Currently, the Journal of Innovations and Sustainability is a first joint periodic scientific e-journal, which is the result of cooperation between the scientists of the Republic of Bulgaria and Ukraine.
Journal of Innovations and Sustainability (ISSN 2367-8151) is an open access, cross-disciplinary, peer-reviewed scientific journal publishing original scientific works, theoretical and practical articles that should contribute to the sustainable development. Acceptable for publication are papers and essays passing a double-blind peer review process, as well as communications and short scientific announcements, advertisements of incoming conferences, etc. The journal also informs about the events of scientific life and education; provides reviews of scientific papers and textbooks.
Aims and Scope. This journal focuses on all aspects of innovations and sustainable development from the local to the global level. The main attention is paid to papers concerned with innovation activities, economic, environmental and social sustainability. The journal publishes papers in the following basic areas: economic sciences, environmental sciences, pedagogical sciences, agricultural sciences. Key topics include, but are not limited to, the following: circular economy 4.0; conceptual approaches towards innovative development and sustainability; glocalization processes and sustainable development; innovations for sustainability and sustainable development; education for sustainable development; measuring, forecasting and monitoring sustainability; sustainable agriculture; sustainable cities and society; sustainable competitiveness of countries, industries, regions, enterprises; sustainable energy; sustainable entrepreneurship; sustainable environment and environmental management; sustainable finance and investment; sustainable industry; sustainable tourism; sustainable transport. Manuscripts regarding current best-practices and future directions in innovations and sustainable development in Eastern Europe will be particularly welcomed. The journal serves as an interdisciplinary forum for the exchange of information and innovative views between academics and practitioners, NGOs and the community. It is focused on establishing cooperation between researchers, education institutions, policy-makers, government, regions, businesses and all others stakeholders to ensure sustainable development of society.
