The digital model of development of socio-economic systems of Ukraine

Abstract

Purpose. The purpose of the study is to develop and substantiate a digital model for the development of socio-economic systems in Ukraine. The study focuses on identifying key digitalisation factors that contribute to effective management and ensure sustainable economic growth in the digital economy.

Results. The article summarises the stages of the digital revolution and identifies the key characteristics of the digital economy that shape new conditions for socio-economic transformation. The phased transition to new types of socio-economic systems in the context of digital technological changes is substantiated. A three-tier technocratic model of the digital economy is proposed, and the role of the IT sector as one of its fundamental components is defined. The development of the IT sector is analysed, and its dominant role in shaping the digital economy is justified.

Scientific novelty. The essential characteristics of the digital economy have been further developed in relation to the formation of new conditions for the transformation of socio-economic systems. A three-tier technocratic model has been proposed, providing a structured approach to analysing digital economic processes.

Practical value. The research results can be used to develop strategies for the digital transformation of Ukraine’s socio-economic systems, as well as to improve digital economy management mechanisms. The proposed three-tier technocratic model of the digital economy facilitates a structured analysis of digital processes and can serve as a foundation for decision-making regarding IT sector development, the integration of digital technologies into various economic sectors, and ensuring sustainable economic growth. The application of this model enables the development of effective digitalisation policy instruments, promotes investment in the digital sector, optimises business processes in the context of digital transformations, and fosters the formation of digital ecosystems. Additionally, the research findings can be valuable for scholars, analysts, and policymakers in the field of digital economy, providing a methodological basis for further research and the practical implementation of digital initiatives.
