Abstract

Purpose. The purpose of the study is to substantiate the role of modern management theories in the formation of digital business concepts capable of ensuring the sustainability and competitiveness of organisations in the digital economy. Particular attention is paid to the integration of classical management approaches with the latest technological tools that promote flexibility, speed of decision-making and increased efficiency of business processes.

Results. The evolution of management theories from classical to modern ones has been studied and systematised, and their relevance and adaptive potential in the digital environment has been determined. Scientific approaches to combining strategic vision, resource concepts, process-oriented management, and digital business ecosystems have been generalised. It was found that digital management as a new management paradigm is based on the use of artificial intelligence technologies, big data and the Internet of Things to support decision-making, optimise business processes and ensure the sustainable development of organisations. Using examples of domestic and international practices, it has been proven that the synergy between traditional management concepts and digital innovations forms a new quality of business models focused on openness and network interaction.

Scientific novelty. The novelty lies in the systematic analysis of modern management theories through the prism of their adaptation to the conditions of the digital economy and the formation of digital business concepts. For the first time, a synergistic model of combining classical and modern management approaches with digital tools has been proposed, which allows increasing the strategic flexibility and technological readiness of business.

Practical value. The results of the study can be used to develop strategies for the digital transformation of enterprises, optimise management processes and create competitive business models in the global digital environment. The proposed provisions are of practical use to managers, consultants and developers involved in the implementation of initiatives in the digital economy.
