Economic security of national economic systems in the context of digital transformation

Purpose. The purpose of the study is to theoretically conceptualise and generalise approaches to ensuring the economic security of national economic systems in the context of digital transformation.
Results. Digital transformation significantly reshapes economic relations at the level of national systems. Digital platforms, data, and modern management technologies are becoming increasingly important, forming a new logic of economic functioning. In this context, economic security is no longer limited to protection against traditional risks but evolves into a comprehensive system that integrates economic, technological, informational, and institutional components. The study identifies key threats to economic security under conditions of digitalisation: cyber risks and attacks on critical infrastructure, increasing technological dependence on external providers of digital solutions, the spread of information manipulation and disinformation, risks within digital financial markets, and growing digital inequality between countries and social groups. At the same time, digitalisation not only generates risks but also provides tools for mitigating them. The use of artificial intelligence, Big Data technologies, blockchain, and cloud computing enhances the transparency of economic processes, improves risk management systems, and increases the adaptability of economic systems to external shocks. Economic security in the digital economy is gradually becoming proactive in nature. The focus is shifting from responding to existing threats toward their early detection and prevention using advanced digital analytical tools.
Scientific novelty. The study refines the conceptual understanding of economic security of national economic systems as a dynamic, digitally oriented category that combines traditional economic mechanisms with modern technological tools for risk management.
Practical value. The findings can be used to improve public policy in the fields of economic and cyber security, develop digital infrastructure, and strengthen the resilience of national economies under conditions of digital transformation.
