Improving the strategic management of the sustainability of supply chains of industrial enterprises

Purpose. The purpose of this study is to develop theoretical foundations, substantiation of scientific and methodological provisions, and practical recommendations for improving the strategic management of the sustainability of supply chains of industrial enterprises.
Results. The article deepens the theoretical and methodological principles of strategic management of sustainability of supply chains of industrial enterprises. From the standpoint of institutional theory, the evolution of the concept of supply chain management is considered, the influence of various factors on its development and integration with the concept of sustainable development is determined. The conceptual and categorical apparatus of research of management of sustainability of supply chains within the limits of the theory of networks and the theory of stakeholders is developed. On the example of a metallurgical enterprise, a system of indicators is proposed and strategic guidelines for three sustainable development scenarios are identified. An organizational-and-economic mechanism for managing the sustainability of supply chains in a hybrid form has been developed. The directions in which various digital technologies can be used in the management of sustainability of supply chains are considered.
Scientific novelty of the results is the development of theoretical-and-methodological and scientific-and-practical provisions for improving the strategic management of sustainability of industrial supply chains by implementing organizational and economic management mechanisms based on a network approach and involving a wide range of stakeholders in mutual coordination of strategic decisions, relevant standards for sustainable development, with the organization of further monitoring of the achievement of these standards, periodic assessment of the level of sustainability of enterprises and organizations that are part of a single supply chain, and the use of opportunities provided by modern digital technologies.
Practical value. The theoretical and methodological provisions of this study are brought to practical recommendations for improving the strategic management of supply chain sustainability. The results of the study were used by the Ministry of Strategic Industries of Ukraine, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Ukraine. The obtained practical results can be used in enterprises of various industries to form a system of strategic management of sustainable development of their supply chains.
